life journals as a fashion reporter
In 1955 the famous Danish designer and architect Arne Jacobson created The Series Seven Chair, a chair which have since become a truly global design icon. [and the most copied chairs in the world.] The trademark is the timeless and unique design described by some as a piece of art. In 2006, 50 years after its introduction...how would it look today if you were given a freehand to design it? At Corso Como 10, Milan the exhibition shows 14 amazing chairs all with their own both surprising and distinctive design by 14 number of world class design brands; Swinging-Camper, [my favorite]Hang-Leather Vuitton, British-stamp-collage Paul Smith, Royal [porcelain] Copenhagen, Pinstripes Hugo Boss, et cetera...

I had a confirmation from brand's PR but didn't receive any invitation...welcome to Italy. So I didn't even know what time of the show is [Jil had 2 times 7 and 8 pm]. After school I ran home, did a little touch up to myself and ran to the venue. I arrived there 30 min-late but show hadn't started yet. Lucky me, my name was in the list of the 7 pm-show. This show was also one of the most awaited show of the season. Raf never did the women collection before and doing for the brand which was so successful is not a easy task. After an arriving of Mrs. Piaggi, the gorgeous collection complimented with White edition of IHT started, talking about the pureness homage Simons did to Mrs. Sander, by parading the look of pale-skin, scrubbed face, sleek hair and new face models [beside Gemma...], wearing the back-to-basic outfits; wide-shoulder boxy jacket, double breast jacket, volumed pea coats, lean trousers...and his new items the floor-length skirts and dresses. Raf played with the volume and effect of the innovative fabric without any trend or inspiration, harmonized with the minimal palette like inky black, white, [Simon's] grey, dark greyish blue and colorish-brown. He carried the looks and details from his Sander men collection, which are the single top button coats, key-hole neck cardigans, white proper shirts. His new introduced-pieces like the inuously jersey dress were also interesting, with a simple knot in front or back could make the simple plain-colored dress so appealing. He should imprint this look to the German minimal house for season and season. His idea was to twist the normal outfit by adding the Simon detailing. After the grievous seasons (after acquired by Prada group), this was the re-glory successful day of Jil Sander, big German brand designed by the small Belgian man.

Today there's a birth of brand new women line by a knight of British fashion force, Sir Paul Smith. After 7 year-married with Pauline Denyer - the pattern cutting teacher from the Royal College of Art-, Smith has improved the tailoring for P.S. His suits sold a lot each year. Wednesday 15, February, Sir Smith expanded his sharp tailoring quality to womenswear...the result was "Men Only" premier showed in AW 06 London Fashion Week, including masculine pieces feminized with tuck, colored and fancy button and lining and of course his signature; the cocktail stripes.
This boy is my friend from Bangkok. He's great...I worked w/ him so many times. Now, he's a model at premier. If you notice he's wearing boxer from Playhound, my ex-company.
Velvet Rope | Janet Jackson This is the best ever album from Janet Jackson, and moved her from pop girl to the soul. It was the mix of dark and sexy mood. If the Janet album is the light side, this is the negative. The best way to taste this album with emotional is to start from the Twisted Elegance interlude through the lastest Special track. Furthermore, to complete with the thrilling Janet Velvet Rope World Tour. It's always sexy and attractive Janets showed through her music. Must-have album.
ps. Would Ki miss me?
